Beautiful little station with gorgeous rain forest back drop. Shame the Indian workers at the lifts were loud & using foul language. It was a Sunday morning & quite a few adults & children were catching the train. Such a shame.
Waiting
The express station serving the far northern Illawarra. My local station and I am proud to say that because of the nice station guards and the good facilities here. Only problem is that the station is at the bottom of the burgh so Otford is closer for many.
This is a very historic place . There are two dissused railway tunnels here , one on one side and the othet on the other side of the road , there is parking for about five cars but more parking is available across the road . There is a very short walk to both tunnels one is accessible but very wet muddy and slippery inside ,take caution .There are glow worms inside the tunnell that is accessible but you have to walk through thick slippery mud to get to them . Besides the mud its good . Would be great on a hot day , surrounded by thick rainforest and ferns , like a scene out of tarzan .
Small station with a beautiful backdrop! Get off from the train here to go to the Hindu Temple which is just a few kms away.
