I would like to share my experience from 6 weeks of keeping my horse at Glen Kieri Ranch in helensburgh under an agistment agreement. my aged anglo arabian gelding was simply surviving off grass for over 10years and was nothing but healthy happy and in good condition. i was forced to move my horse due to unforseen circumstances was forced to agist my boy into somebody elses care. i was promise he would be receiving 2 biscuits of hay and a hard feed every day. over the weeks of him being there he was slowly decling which was not an issue at the time as he was back into show quality condition and then after a further 2 weeks as i went to visit my boy he was showing rubs, bones in the rump he had no energy and looked extremely unhappy.it looked as if he hadnt eaten over the entire period he had been there. he was covered in bites, scratches and just pain! i have never in my life seen my boy like this and i have had him for over 21 years. this ranch buy and sell horses and no longer care about animal life. it has become all about the money.. my boy sufferred from the result of someones lack of love for animal life. i wish i could post photos here for everybody to see. i dont want anybody to indure the heart break i felt when seeing the condition they left my beautiful gelding in. dont put yourself or your horse through the pain i had to indure and he had to push through for the time he was there. save yourself save your horse
